CHICAGO (AP) - Chicago police say a former youth soccer coach who was charged last month with sexually abusing female players is now charged with sex crimes involving two other girls.

Police say 49-year-old Fernando Calderon is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday on felony charges of sex assault of a teenager and indecent solicitation of a child for incidents involving two 16-year-old girls in 2011 and 2012 before he was hired as the coach for the Chicago Fire junior soccer team.

Last month, he was charged with felony aggravated criminal sexual abuse and indecent solicitation of a minor for alleged incidents in 2017 and 2018 involving two young female players he coached. He subsequently posted bail and was released from jail.

It was not immediately known if Calderon has an attorney.
