CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Investigators in West Virginia say two people have died in a house fire.

The state fire marshal’s office says in a news release that remains believed to be that of a 73-year-old man were recovered after the fire Tuesday in Clay County. A 60-year-old woman injured in the fire died at a Huntington hospital on Wednesday.

The names of the victims weren’t immediately released and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.



The statement says five people were inside the three-story home in a rural area when the fire started.
