CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - A former Boys & Girls Club worker in New Hampshire has been sentenced to at least eight years in prison for a pattern of sexual abuse involving a teenage girl who attended the program.

The Concord Monitor report s 29-year-old Joshua Adams, of New Hampton, pleaded guilty to aggravated felonious sexual assault. Court documents say he assaulted the girl between January and August of 2017. The teen said she met Adams at the Boys & Girls Club in Concord while attending programs there, starting in 2016.

Adams is required to register as a sex offender and complete the sex offender treatment program at prison. He apologized for his actions Monday in court.

As part of a plea agreement, prosecutors dismissed more than a dozen other charges pending against Adams.
