OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Authorities say one person rescued from a burning southeast Omaha residence has been hospitalized.
The Omaha Fire Department says firefighters dispatched around 5:15 a.m. Monday reported flames shooting from the top level of the two-story, multifamily building. The department says the blaze was under control within 25 minutes.
The injured occupant was taken in serious condition to a hospital. A bus was taken to the scene to keep warm 12 other displaced occupants.
The fire cause is being investigated.
