CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Public school classes have been called off or delayed throughout West Virginia as a late winter snowstorm rolls through the state.
Warnings remained posted early Monday for up to 8 inches (20 centimeters) of snow in northern and eastern regions.
The National Weather Service says snowfall rates of 1 inch (2.5 centimeters) per hour were expected and could mix with sleet and rain at times.
Lesser amounts of snow were expected elsewhere in the state.
