Deputy injured at firing range

COCOA, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a Florida deputy was hospitalized following an accident at the firing range.

Florida Today reports that the Brevard County deputy’s lower leg was injured Thursday at a training range in Cocoa.

Officials weren’t saying what caused the injury. A sheriff’s office spokesman says the injury wasn’t life-threatening.
