Heavy snowfall is expected in parts of northern New England as a March storm heads into the region.
Parts of New Hampshire and Maine are under a winter storm warning with the forecast calling for 4 to 7 inches (10 to 18 centimeters) in central and southern areas and 6 to 10 inches in far eastern and coastal Maine. The snow could mix with rain in some spots.
Nashua, New Hampshire’s director of Public Works has declared a snow emergency from midnight to 7 a.m. The city asks drivers to stay off the roads if they don’t need to be out for their own safety and to make room for equipment working to clear snow and keep the roads open. A parking ban will be in effect.
