LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP) - A fast-moving fire at a central New Jersey home has claimed the life of a man.
Monmouth County prosecutors say the fire in Long Branch was reported shortly after 2 a.m. Friday.
The man was found in an apartment in the rear of the home and was brought into the front yard, where emergency responders tried to revive him. But he was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
The man’s name has not been disclosed.
The cause if the fire remains under investigation.
