TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say four students were hospitalized with minor injuries following a Florida school bus crash.

A Florida Highway Patrol report says the crash happened Thursday afternoon in Mango, northeast of Tampa. Troopers say the Hillsborough County Public Schools bus was approaching an intersection when its driver failed to stop in time.

The bus rear-ended one car, causing that car to rear-end another car. The bus had been carrying 14 children from McDonald Elementary School. Besides the students who were injured, minor injuries were reported for both car drivers and a passenger in one of the cars.

The bus driver was cited with careless driving.
