Where I live, near Phoenix, illegals who have exceeded their legal time limit are now being released in front of churches, parks, public buildings, etc. I have a suggestion to help Congress members get a real feel for what many of “we the people” are experiencing as a result of this practice.

First, every member of Congress should be asked to share an office with another member. That would make room for about 217 illegal-alien families, who could reside in the vacated offices until their cases are adjudicated. With bathrooms, these offices and would certainly provide better living conditions than are currently being provided.

Then, if more room is needed, the same office-sharing practice can be put to use at various other Senate and House office buildings in the Capitol. If still more room is still needed, we could create a “tent city” on the National Mall. I suspect that space could house many families.

Nothing seems to solve problems faster than putting the “solvers” in the shoes of those with the problem. Come on, Congress. Are you willing to “walk the walk”?
