NORFOLK, Mass. (AP) - Three high-school age children have been taken to the hospital as a precaution after a crash involving a school bus in Massachusetts.

Police say the bus was rear-ended by another vehicle in Norfolk at about 7:30 a.m. Thursday. The driver of the other vehicle was also hospitalized with injuries described as minor.

Authorities say there were 17 students from Tri-County Regional Vocational High School in Franklin on the bus at the time. All the students were checked out at the scene before boarding another bus to school.

The bus left the scene under its own power but the other vehicle had to be towed.

No names were released and no charges were announced.

This story has been corrected to show that the other vehicle’s driver was injured, not the bus driver.
