NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - A worker has been electrocuted at a construction site on the South Carolina coast.
North Myrtle Beach spokesman Pat Dowling told news outlets the victim was standing below a crane holding a guy wire that touched a live wire around 8 a.m. Tuesday.
The victim’s name has not been released yet while relatives are notified.
Dowling says a worker in the bucket of the crane was hot hurt.
He said workers were rebuilding a home that had been burned in a fire.
Horry County Coroner Robert Edge said an autopsy was planned.
Dowling said the Occupational Safety and Health Administration will investigate the death.
