SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Negotiations over a teachers’ contract in South Burlington, Vermont, have stalled.

The talks between the union and school board started in October, but the two sides have not yet agreed to a deal for the 2019-2020 school year.

WCAX-TV reports the board is asking for a mediator to help with the next discussion in two weeks. The major obstacles continue to be salaries and benefits.

In 2017, the two sides took a year to negotiate an agreement.
