SPARKS, Nev. (AP) - Sparks police are asking for the public’s help in the search for a driver who left the scene of an accident after a black SUV struck a 16-year-old pedestrian last week.

Police say the teen who suffered minor injuries was walking along Wedekind Road near Farrell Ross Drive at about 4 p.m. Friday.

Witnesses attempted to follow the vehicle but couldn’t keep up.



Police say they don’t have a description of the driver.

Secret Witness is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the perpetrator.
