RIDGEFIELD, Wash. (AP) - Authorities say a man ran into the path of a semi truck and was killed on Interstate 5 near Ridgefield, Washington.

The Columbian reports the crash occurred at 1:45 a.m. Monday in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5.

The Washington State Patrol says the truck driver was driving a 2006 Freightliner pulling a single trailer north on the freeway when a man ran from the east shoulder into the path of her semi.



The man, who was pronounced dead at the scene, has not been identified.
