PHOENIX (AP) - A 36-year-old man died Friday when his motorcycle crashed into a light pole in Phoenix.

Police say the victim is Pedro Ibarra.

They say he was headed east on an Interstate 10 access road when he struck a curb, drove into a dirt field and hit a light pole.

Ibarra was wearing a helmet. He was pronounced dead on scene.

Police believe Ibarra may have been speeding. No other cars were involved in the early morning Friday crash.
