LOWELL, Mass. (AP) - The suspect in a fatal shooting in Massachusetts last year has pleaded not guilty.
The Lowell Sun reports that 24-year-old Joseph McGillicuddy entered his plea Thursday to multiple charges including murder, possession of a firearm with a silencer and possession of a loaded firearm without a license.
He was arrested Wednesday in connection with the fatal shooting of 24-year-old Anthony Luna in Lowell.
Police found Luna’s body inside a parked car in February 2018.
Luna’s cousins told investigators they were riding in the car together when someone appeared and opened fire. Joseph Luna was hospitalized for a gunshot wound to the elbow and later released.
McGillicuddy is being held without bail. His attorney could not be reached.
