EMERSON, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a sleeping man was knocked from his bed after a vehicle struck in a crash was pushed into his northern New Jersey home.

The accident in Emerson occurred around 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

Authorities say a car driven by a 37-year-old Teaneck woman hit a guardrail, the driver’s side of a parked van and another vehicle before striking a utility pole. The impact sent the second vehicle into the home.

The home’s resident, the driver and her 1-year-old son were all treated at a hospital for injuries that are not considered life-threatening. Their names and further details on their conditions have not been released.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
