Minutes before he was expected to issue his veto to preserve his border emergency, President Trump’s campaign sent out a fundraising plea Friday to supporters asking them to show their approval by sending him cash.
The campaign dubbed the effort the “Official Wall Defense Fund.”
“This is a critical moment for the safety of our families, our loved ones and the United States of America,” the campaign said. “That’s why we are launching the Official Wall Defense Fund to give us the resources we need to fight back against liberals who want to tear down our borders.”
The veto will be the first of Mr. Trump’s tenure.
