MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire State Police say a driver pulled over on a busy New Hampshire highway, ran onto the road and was struck by a tractor-trailer unit. He suffered serious injuries.
Police responded to the man, who was lying in the middle of the road on Interstate 293-North in Manchester on Thursday afternoon. They shut down the northbound lanes and diverted traffic while the man was worked on. He eventually was taken to a hospital.
Police aren’t sure why the man ran into the road. They said the driver of tractor-trailer cooperated with investigators.
