OPINION:
Thursday’s front-page article, “Motivated or manipulated? Rise of youth climate activism fuels alarm over exploitation,” advances a valid concern regarding the education of our youth. In its heyday, Russia removed all children from their parents (and their parents’ influence) and placed them in state-run indoctrination schools where they were programmed with the communist mantra. In America, most children are indoctrinated in our public schools by an overwhelmingly leftist cadre of educators who teach that man, not God, is the supreme master of Earth and that man can repair anything. They instill a sense of guilt in our youth for everything that isn’t perfect; then they harness that guilt by influencing our youth crusade for left-wing. “progressive” causes that can distort into radicalized socialism.
