LEXINGTON, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a high school student was struck by a car on campus after parking and walking toward the school.
Lexington County spokesman Harrison Cahill said the student was taken to the hospital in serious condition after being hit at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday at Lexington High School.
Authorities say someone driving a truck dropping a different student off to school struck the victim walking along an access road on campus.
Officials did not release the name of the injured student, but said that person’s parents had been notified.
Authorities are investigating the wreck and no charges have been filed.
