While the Washington Redskins were happy to sign safety Landon Collins, they missed out on another free agent target.

Former Baltimore Ravens linebacker agreed Tuesday to a massive five-year, $85 million deal with the New York Jets, according to multiple reports.

On Monday, the NFL Network reported the Redskins were “serious players” for Mosley — and ESPN later added Washington was still interested even after agreeing to terms with Collins.

But Mosley, a four-time Pro Bowler, will sign with the Jets instead to become the highest-paid inside linebacker in football. The Jets have been on a spending spree this offseason, agreeing to deals with wide receiver Jamison Crowder and outside linebacker Anthony Barr.

Mosley had 105 tackles in 15 games last season.

The NFL Network was the first to report the news.
