LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Police say a 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of starting several fires in the parking lot of a north Lincoln church.

Police tell the Lincoln Journal Star that, Serhiy Andriyashyn was seen on video surveillance just before 11 a.m. Thursday starting fires in a trailer unit and in and around a trash bin just outside the House of Prayer. A container of lighter fluid also was found in the grass next to the trash bin.

Officer Angela Sands says the church’s pastor believes Andriyashyn, a church parishioner, was upset with how marriage counseling was going.

The fires caused about $10,000 in damage. Andriyashyn was arrested a few blocks away on suspicion of third-degree arson.
