Being a supporter of President Trump this week in London literally requires police protection from unhinged protesters.

A group of roughly 20 citizens was ushered into a pub on Whitehall street by police after a mob screamed “Nazi scum off our streets!” and rants about alleged “fascists.”

“[Authorities] have since barricaded the small counter-protest group in the Lord Moon of the Mall pub,” the U.K. Independent reported Tuesday. “Around a dozen Met policemen and women were still guarding the door at the time of writing along with members of the pub’s security team.”

One 22-year-old Trump supporter, who declined to give his full name, told the newspaper that the only “undemocratic” people around were the enraged protesters.

“As a president, he has a right to be here. It is a matter of free speech,” the man said.

Scotland Yard deployed 3,182 officers to secure the peace during Mr. Trump’s visit, the newspaper reported.
