BOSTON (AP) - Authorities say an arrest has been made in the killing of a retired employee of a small Massachusetts community that had not had a homicide in nearly three decades.
Groveland Police Chief Jeff Gillen and Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett announced Friday that 48-year-old Leedell Graham, of Haverhill, was arrested Thursday night in connection with the June 21 killing of 82-year-old Patsy Schena (SKEE’-nuh).
Schena was found dead in his home of multiple wounds.
It was first homicide in Groveland since 1992.
Blodgett says Schena and Graham had a business relationship, but did not elaborate.
Schena was the town building inspector for many years and was well-known in the community.
Graham is scheduled to be arraigned on a murder charge Friday. It was not clear if he has an attorney.
