COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Police have identified the siblings who died in an apparent murder-suicide inside a Colorado hospital.
The Gazette reports that 72-year-old Yuzef Ocheretinsky killed 74-year-old Victoria Ocheretinsky at UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs Saturday.
Authorities say Yuzef Ocheretinsky shot his sister, who was a hospital patient, before turning the gun on himself.
A spokesman says officers responded around 1 p.m. but found both siblings dead.
Police have not released additional details.
A man who rented a house from the siblings says they came to the United States after the fall of the Soviet Union.
He says Victoria Ocheretinsky was extremely ill and appeared to be getting worse in recent months while her brother cared for her.
The hospital did not immediately return a call seeking comment Wednesday.
