MILFORD, Conn. (AP) - Police in Connecticut say a man riding a motor scooter has died in a collision with an SUV.
Milford police say 22-year-old Walter Kiernan was operating the scooter just after midnight Tuesday on Bridgeport Avenue in Milford when he crashed with the other vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV stayed at the scene. The driver and the passengers of the SUV were not injured.
The investigation is continuing.
The road was closed during the investigation but has since reopened.
