How much more politically correct can we get (“NBA done using term ’owner’ over racial sensitivity concerns, commissioner says,” Web, June 24)? The idea that a person who actually does own a part, or all, of any organization, business, etc., should not be called the owner is absurd.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver should not bend to political correctness. With the salaries that ball players of all sports command today, any comparison to slavery is truly a moot point. Players have the means and opportunity to leave the team whenever they want — one way or another.

Trying to compare ownership of a team franchise to enslavement of the players is an absolutely ridiculous idea from someone who appears not to have much self-esteem.
