BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) - Authorities say a 52-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash east of Brookings.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol says the accident happened about 8:30 p.m. Friday on U.S. Highway 14. The patrol says the motorcycle drifted off the road, entered the ditch and went airborne.
The motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
Authorities say the driver was wearing a helmet.
