NEW IBERIA, La. (AP) - A boat captain found cocaine worth more than $1 million floating in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Louisiana.
News outlets report the captain noticed the suspected narcotics on Tuesday. It was recovered by the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office, which said it contained 30 individually wrapped packages of pure cocaine totaling 75 pounds (30 kilograms).
