The formal name of the Nazi Party was the National Socialist German Workers Party (NSDAP). Sen. Bernie Sanders, 2020 presidential candidate, wants “democratic socialism” in this country.

Hitler had an organized party element to assault, intimidate and suppress his opponents. The Democrats have “resistance” groups who assault, intimidate and suppress their opponents. They do seem to prefer the more chic black of Mussolini’s Fascisti to the brown of the storm troopers, and they aren’t formally a part of the Democratic Party, but they obviously work toward their goals together and seem to operate in concert.

Strict adherence to the party line is required in both cases. However, the Democrats seem to have adopted the Marxist self-criticism model for those who have deviated from the approved party diktat — at least in public and so far.

The list could go on, but space here is limited. If Bernie or his speechwriters had ever studied history or done so at an institution that didn’t put a post-modernist “perspective” on it, he might know better.
