ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is offering another round of funding to help improve conditions in the Hudson River Estuary.

DEC Commissioner Basil Seggos says approximately $215,000 is available to improve water quality, flood protection, and habitat for fish.

The funding is aimed at developing municipal management plans and designs.

DEC’s Hudson River Estuary Program focuses on the tidal Hudson River and its adjacent watershed from the federal dam at Troy to the Verrazano Narrows in New York City.
