LOUDON, N.H. (AP) - A Loudon man faces drunken driving charges after a crash that killed a passenger in his car.
State police say 22-year-old Tyler Dempsey was driving on Bee Hole Road in Loudon on Sunday night when his vehicle went off the road and rolled onto its side. He wasn’t hurt, and a passenger in the back seat sustained a minor head injury. But a front passenger died at the scene.
Authorities haven’t released the victim’s name.
Dempsey was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and is due in court Monday. It was unknown early Monday whether he has an attorney.
Loudon Fire Chief Tom Blanchette told the Concord Monitor that Dempsey is a part-time firefighter and EMT, and has been placed on administrative leave.
