PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (AP) - Police in Maryland are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian.

The Prince George’s County Police Department said Saturday that the crash happened at an intersection near residential areas.

Officers who came to the scene found that the male pedestrian had been hit by a car while crossing the road.



The pedestrian was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital despite lifesaving efforts.

The police said that the driver of the vehicle remained on scene and was cooperative.
