BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (AP) - The select board in a Vermont town is going to be deciding on what role a “sustainability coordinator” should have.
The Brattleboro Reformer reports that Brattleboro Energy Committee Chairman Oscar Heller says the town staff has written a job outline and the Energy Committee working group has contributed ideas.
He says he expects the Select Board to decide Tuesday to move forward with the hiring process.
Planning Commission Chairwoman Felicity Ratte says sustainability goes beyond climate change and the role could include rent, health and economic issues.
During the community’s March down meeting, members approved a motion to provide $100,000 to fund energy and other sustainability projects.
