Twenty presidential candidates tell us that “evil corporations” make too much money and must be taxed to strip profit. A 70 percent rate has been suggested. But if such a policy were instituted, would not those businesses (and the jobs associated therewith) flee America’s shores to seek a more favorable business climate? They were doing so in record numbers until 2016, when that trend was reversed (for the time being, anyway).

As for open borders, can the United States absorb the entire mass of the world’s poor and survive economically? Rational sixth-graders realize this is a pipe dream divorced from reality. And because of a one-degree increase in Earth’s temperature over 100 years, should we immediately abandon cars, trucks and airplanes? Should cattle be made extinct?

One gets the impression some presenting themselves as presidential material do not grasp simple business principles, having been educated in moral and pseudo-scientific fabulism.
