OLD BRIDGE, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say an early morning crash involving a car and a pickup truck in New Jersey killed two people, including a teenager, and injured two other people.

The Middlesex County prosecutor’s office and Old Bridge police say officers were dispatched to the scene near the JCP&L building shortly before 4 a.m. Saturday.

Police say the preliminary investigation indicates that the car crashed into the rear of the pickup in Old Bridge.

Two female passengers, including a 17-year-old girl, were pronounced dead at the scene. Both drivers were taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries not considered life-threatening.

The names of the victims weren’t immediately released. The crash remains under investigation.
