TUPELO, Miss. (AP) - Officials in Mississippi say a driver injured by a brick thrown through his windshield may have been the victim of a road rage incident.

News outlets report a teenage boy suffered a laceration on his head while driving Monday night on Natchez Trace Parkway in Tupelo. Natchez Trace Chief Ranger Sarah Davis says the teen received stitches.

Authorities say the brick was thrown from another car, believed to be a tan- or gray-colored late 1990s or early 2000s model sedan.

This is the second reported road rage incident on Natchez Trace Parkway in the past two weeks.

Davis says a driver fired shots along the road on July 20. No injuries were reported. The suspected shooter was arrested and has been charged with reckless driving and brandishing a firearm.
