ORLEANS, Ind. (AP) - Federal authorities are working to determine the cause of an ultralight aircraft crash in southern Indiana that left the pilot dead.

State police say the crash happened Monday night in a field in northern Orange County, about 80 miles (129 kilometers) southwest of Indianapolis.

Police say the pilot has been identified as 42-year-old Adam Hill of Orleans.
