NEWPORT, Vt. (AP) - Vermont police say three people have died in two separate car crashes in the Northeast Kingdom.

Police say a collision between two cars on Route 100 in Newport Center killed both drivers early Wednesday. WCAX-TV reports that another person was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Route 111 in Morgan, also on Wednesday morning.

The victim’s identifies have not been released. Police have not said what caused the crashes.
