TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - Utility crews in New Jersey are making progress restoring electricity lost during Monday’s severe storms.

By Thursday afternoon, about 4,500 homes and business remain without power. About 4,000 customers got their power back on just today after Monday’s powerful storm.

New Jersey’s largest utility, PSE&G, said it’s restored power to all 250,000 customers affected by the storm.

Officials said Burlington, Camden, Mercer and Gloucester counties were hardest hit.

More than 360,000 were without service during the height of the storms, which packed strong winds. The winds downed trees and power lines.

Other utilities are hoping to have full service restored by Friday.
