MOTT, N.D. (AP) - Authorities say a tornado caused some damage in the southwestern North Dakota town of Mott.

KXMB-TV reports the tornado touched down late Friday evening.

Preliminary damage reports to the National Weather Service include downed trees blocking roads in the city, and damage to large building on the city fairgrounds.

The Hettinger County Emergency Manager asked people to stay home and off the streets “due to possible downed power lines and debris.”

No injuries were immediately reported.
