KEOSAUQUA, Iowa (AP) - Authorities have recovered the body of a Missouri man who was in a vehicle that crashed into the Des Moines River in southeast Iowa.
The body was found and taken to the shore Sunday, east of the crash site near Keosauqua. The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office identified the body as that of 22-year-old Gavin Hannah, who lived in Memphis, Missouri. The vehicle had been recovered Saturday.
The driver was able to reach safety ashore after the crash Friday night and seek help at a residence nearby. She was taken to a hospital and later released. The sheriff’s office identified her as 21-year-old Paris Wahl-Bickham, of Birmingham, Iowa.
The crash cause is being investigated.
