NEW SALEM, N.D. (AP) - The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a 74-year-old Hazen man died in a crash near New Salem.

The patrol says a sport utility vehicle driven by an 80-year-old Mandan man pulled out in front of Kenneth Miller’s pickup on state Highway 31 Thursday afternoon, causing the crash.

Miller was pronounced dead at a Bismarck hospital. The SUV driver was admitted to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
