TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - An Alabama man reported missing apparently died in a car crash.

The Tuscaloosa News reports police said 66-year-old Charles Gordon Cardinal was reported missing Tuesday but apparently he had crashed his truck into a ravine. His overturned Toyota Tacoma was recovered in the woods about noon Thursday.

Police department spokeswoman, Lt. Teena Richardson says investigators asked for the public’s help to find Cardinal on Wednesday.



He was last seen at 2 a.m. Tuesday, when he asked his family members to go for a car ride. They had planned to do so the next morning.

The family members discovered that Cardinal and his truck were missing at 7 a.m.

There’s no word yet on how the crash occurred.
