FAIRLEE, Vt. (AP) - Police say a train hit a tractor in Vermont, killing the driver.
Authorities say the crash happened around 5 p.m. Wednesday in Fairlee.
Police say 88-year-old Lloyd Raymond was using a tractor to clear snow from a private driveway and across train trains when he was struck by a Vermont Rail Systems train.
Raymond died at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing. Police say no criminal charges are pending.
