EDGEWATER, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say an 8-year-old Florida boy was killed when he was hit by a race car that his grandfather was pulling into a garage.
Edgewater interim police Chief Joe Mahoney tells The Daytona Beach News-Journal that 73-year-old Roland Robidoux was pulling a drag-style race car when he accidentally hit the child.
Officials say Conner R. Allen died at the scene from his injuries.
Edgewater is near Daytona Beach on Florida’s Atlantic Coast.
