OPINION:
People may disagree with President Trump on how he presents his message, but they can hardly argue with facts.
The economy is strong. African-American and Hispanic unemployment is the lowest in history. Women’s unemployment is almost the lowest in history. Many people who gave up on looking for a job have not only started looking again, but have found jobs. (On this news the stock market soared.) The labor participation rate has changed direction and moved up as more people are willing to work, looking for work and starting to work.
The military and military preparedness are both in far better shape than they were. Salaries and morale are up. Our national security has become a top priority again.
The Iran deal, which provided Iran with a path to nuclear weapons, has been canceled. Sanctions that are crippling the Iranian economy were imposed.
Europe is spending more on defense, which provides additional benefit/protection to America because we don’t have to foot so much of the cost of defending freedom.
America is now the greatest petroleum and natural gas producer in the world. Federal lands, including lands in Alaska, are now open to leasing and exploration — which means the Alaska pipeline is no longer in danger of freezing due to diminished oil flow through it.
Many environment laws, expensive to maintain with little benefit, have been removed.
The dictator of Venezuela, who stole the recent election, is under pressure from America, most of Latin America and Canada.
America is no longer leading from behind.
