MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. (AP) - One person has died and another person has been injured in a house fire in Mount Vernon.
WABC-TV reports the fire was began in a multi-family home on South First Avenue at about 5:30 p.m. Monday.
Fire officials say a male, believed to be in his 60s, was pronounced dead.
A woman was pulled from the kitchen and hospitalized.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
